In a study involving 165 participants, researchers explored how AI influences human moral decision-making. They presented participants with a series of moral dilemmas, each under three distinct conditions. In one, a social majority expressed their opinions. In the second, an AI model simply provided brief answers. The third, and perhaps most interesting, condition involved an AI model that not only provided answers but also explained the reasoning behind its choices.

Here's where it gets fascinating: the AI with a reasoning component influenced participants’ opinions nearly as much as the human majority did. This wasn't just about consensus. the AI's input led to shifts in moral judgments, even when these suggestions contradicted widely accepted moral norms.
