Latent Space

The compressed, internal representation space where a model encodes data.

Definition

The compressed, internal representation space where a model encodes data. Points that are close together in latent space represent similar concepts. Navigating latent space is how generative models create new content — interpolating between two faces in latent space produces a smooth morph.
